Well, today was the first day we were officially open.  We got some stuff done, and life is feeling good.  I would post some pics, but I forgot the camera, and my phone is being a shitbox.  So, please settle for this most excellent video by Dropkick:

The new Screw City shirt is out TODAY! The "Locomotive" design is printed on a pre-shrunk, fashion fitted, unisex shirt, and is available in sizes S-XXL. If you'd like to show support, and get an awesome tee shirt at the same time, you can send $20 posted paid to my Paypal, using my email pjmoore01@yahoo.com. I will ship them out same day, via USPS. Be sure to include your name and shipping address. If Paypal doesn't work for you, email me at JMooreDistro@gmail.com, and we'll get you lined out.

I  should mention that Tori Desplinter of Job Printing & Design not only printed these shirts, he also came up with this design for us. We're really happy with it, and they look great. Also, if you look closely, the Locomotive is modeled after the famous steam powered locomotive that belongs to my hometown, Amboy, IL. It also bears the number 8376. Just a little tip 'o the hat to Amboy, IL. : ) Thanks Tori!

Rhoda

Rhoda is my 1995 FLHR that I've been working on and riding for the last coupla years.  She hauled me out to the Smoke Out this year for 2200 miles in a few short days.  Great bike.  Have her up on eBay @ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&item=250926814233&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT#ht_24358wt_1165

Time to get to work on the Shovel, both Ironheads, and the T100.  Have to free up some bucks.  You know how it is.  Bid Bid Bid, or contact me, and let's talk.  Thanks.  -Josh

The Screw City team have been working hard to get things in order for getting the damned doors open.  Stop back for more info on the progress.  Until then, how about some goddamned Blaze Foley.  Guy makes me tear up for some reason.  Just about every song.  Too Good.

MAGNO

Kyle Magnuson is the goddamned man.  He is currently riding his Ironhead Sporty back to Oregon.  It is friggin freezing.  No, I mean, I think it is actually freezing.  When we left, there was definitely frost on our seats....We had to tear it apart a bit, time it, and wa-la. it's still a crap box, but, it starts up everytime now. haha.  MagNo, you da man.

TEE SHIRT

Here it is folks.  The first shirt from SCCCo.  Our logo has been distressed, and printed on a preshrunk, cotton, fashion fit Anvil tee.  They are a slim fit, and are considered unisex, so when ordering, think men's sizes.  If you need me to take measurements, I can definitely do that. Send $20 via paypal to pjmoore01@yahoo.com, and I will get them mailed out via USPS same or next day.  We have S-XXL sizes immediately available.  Need a different size?  Contact me at ScrewCityCycle@gmail.com, and I'll get you all lined out.  The design was done by Zack Shereck of Odds N Ends Tattoo, and the shirts were screened by JOB Printing & Design.  By buying a shirt, you are not only helping lay the foundation for Screw City, you are also contributing to two other local businesses.  And that should make you feel good.  Plus, the tee shirts are nice and soft and will be a hit at parties.  Okay, I made the party thing up.  But they probably actually WILL be a hit at any party you should wear it to, so yeah.  BUY BUY BUY. haha.

Hoyt Axton. American Treasure...

Leaf River Dual Sport

John ran the Leaf River Dual Sport last Saturday.  I sat and drank Keystone, and helped injured riders load their bikes into their pickups.  So I actually had a Dual Purpose. : /    -Josh

The Progress

So we've been hard it.  We've decided to open the shop in the old Atwood Building, and work out of there for a while.  The Kruschke building down on Kishwaukee will be our home sooner or later, but it needs some serious rehab, and we could be looking at a year or longer, realistically.  So we decided to work with what we've got.  We're converting the HJS Racing/Static Echo shop into SCCCo., and all our storage and serious equipment will be housed down at the other shop on Railroad.  It's coming together, and we hope to be pretty much OPEN by 12/1/11.  So, the addy is:

Screw City Cycle Co.
2500 N. Main St.
Door 11
Rockford, IL 61103

See you all soon, and thanks for the support!
